Smart Garden Lighting Hub – Lightpro Gateway Smart (Zigbee)

The gateway is the first thing to install on a Zigbee system: until it has been added to the Lightpro app, no Zigbee smart light and no Motion Sensor Smart can be paired to anything. It joins the home network over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and talks Zigbee out to the garden. Supplied with a 230 V mains adapter and a 1 metre lead.

It is rated IP20 and must be installed indoors. It is not weatherproof, so site it on an inside wall or windowsill as close to the garden as the mains socket and the network signal allow. Each Zigbee fitting repeats the signal onward, so coverage builds out across the garden provided no two products are more than 20 metres apart. Because it runs on mains rather than the 12 volt circuit, it adds no load to the transformer.

The Lightpro app has a timer function, so you can manually set what time your lights turn on and off, or choose an automatic timer so the lights turn on at sunset and off again at sunrise. You can also set the lights to turn on automatically when motion is detected.
