Our Brampton inside corner modular planter is made from structural 2mm Corten steel as standard, with the choice of having it weathered, with its distinct and beautiful orange patina, or un-weathered. The thickness of the Corten steel is more than enough to create durable structures that will stand the test of time and bespoke thicknesses can be ordered on request.
Designed to connect easily to our straight modular planter sections, inside corners allow you to create inward-facing angles in your custom raised beds, complete with the unique protective properties and patina of beautiful Corten steel. We supply all the connectors you could possibly need to create your finished modular raised beds.
To install your own Corten steel modular planters, you will need the following:
Of course, the greater the number of sections you purchase, the larger the modular structure you can create. Each modular planter piece has hidden structural ribs on the reverse, which not only makes them stronger but also makes it possible to fix them together seamlessly, using the bolts and bolt holes provided. There are holes in the base, making it easy to secure your sections into the soil or substrate below, and we highly recommend installing your structure on flat ground for the best results.
All the modular planter sections in our range, including our Brampton inside corner sections, are made of 100% genuine, certified Corten steel, which is known for its corrosion-resistant (COR) properties and its enhanced tensile (TEN) strength. If you’re looking for something that will last even longer – for example, for commercial landscaping use – you may wish to order bespoke corner sections in thicknesses of up to 6mm.
Our expert design team will first cut the steel using precise laser cutting tools, before using specialist machinery to apply folds to the sheet metal. They will then fix ribs to the back of the modular planter sections to give them greater structural support and create an easy way of fixing individual parts together.
Unlike most other companies, which leave a steel edge or use a single fold, we make our Corten steel modular planter components with a double-folded return lip. This helps to:
Our modular corner sections are also fully seam-welded. Our craftsmen dedicate a lot of time and effort to smooth any joins, ensuring seamless joins and edge details.
We currently estimate a three-to-four-week waiting time. We offer free UK deliveries on all our products, working with our trusted pallet and parcel couriers to ensure everything is safely received. All deliveries are fully tracked.
You can expect to see beautiful autumnal hues beginning to develop after just a matter of days. However, it may take anywhere between six to nine months for the full colour to develop. If you don’t want to wait, you can always opt for our pre-weathered range instead.
The best thing about Corten steel is that it doesn’t require any maintenance at all. Unlike other metals and materials like plastic and wood, it doesn’t need any paint, varnish, or other coatings. Simply connect the sections of your modular planters, fill them with plants, and enjoy!
