The Tatton Corten Steel Column Planter has a unique, Corten patina finish and contemporary shape, enabling a beautiful, stylish and sophisticated feature for any garden space. Place it next to walkways or doorways to make heads turn and gaze in awe at the autumnal finish, highlighting your flowers and plants.

How do we make our Corten Steel Column Planters?

We start off by precisely laser cutting the Corten steel to ensure the exact sizes of our orders are consistent and meet customer requirements. We then apply folds to the sheet steel with specialist machinery and complete the fabrication by hand, which is done by the best, most qualified and professional fabricators in the country.

What sets our Corten Steel Column Planter apart from competitive products is that each one has a double-folded return top lip feature. Similar products will leave a steel edge or a single fold. We make ours this way as it adds to the Corten steel’s strength and rigidity, providing a much higher quality finish, looks more aesthetically pleasing and is safer for your hands when planting.

What is it made of?

The column planter is made from Corten steel, also known as weathering steel. This type of steel is incredibly corrosion resistant (COR) and boasts high tensile strength (TEN). We use structural grade 2mm thick steel as standard.
